About Us

Our Mission

End Hunger Connecticut! is a statewide anti-hunger and food security organization. By focusing on advocacy, outreach, education and research, EHC! serves as a comprehensive anti-hunger resource for policymakers, community organizations, and low-income families. The work of EHC! is vital to the visibility and coordination of various federal food assistance programs that are meant to lower the prevalence of food insecurity and hunger.  The goal of EHC! is to improve the levels of food security and nutrition among Connecticut families while creating and supporting policies that move families toward self-sufficiency.

From 84W

Take the Asylum Ave. exit number 48. Stay in the middle lane on the exit ramp and bear to your right at the light and then quickly bear to your left onto Farmington Ave.  Take a left onto Broad Street and continue to the intersection of Capitol Ave. Turn left onto Capitol Ave. and then take your next right at the light onto Hungerford Street (one way street). Follow Hungerford Street to the first stop sign and take a right on Russ Street. 65 Hungerford Street will be directly on the right. Please park on the street.

From 84E

Take the Capitol Avenue exit number 48B. Turn Right onto Capitol Avenue. At the light turn left onto Hungerford Street (one way street). Follow Hungerford Street to the first stop sign and take a right on Russ Street. 65 Hungerford Street will be directly on the right. Please park on the street.

From 91N

Take I-91N to Hartford. 
Take the Downtown Hartford/Capitol exit (the one where you go under the Library).  Continue on that until you get to the circle.  Go around ½ the circle (you come in at 6 o’clock you go to 12 o’clock) to Elm St.  Follow Elm to the end and take a left onto Trinity St. (The Capitol will be directly before you at the light). 
Stay in the right hand lane and continue straight through the light onto Capitol Ave.  Continue through to the second light and take a left onto Hungerford St (one way street directly opposite the driveway to the Legislative Office Building.
Follow Hungerford Street to the first stop sign and take a right on Russ Street. 65 Hungerford Street will be directly on the right. Please park on the street.
