The board of directors of End Hunger Connecticut! would like to make two important public announcements.
After 16 years of dedicated leadership as Executive Director of EHC!, Lucy Nolan decided to pursue other professional interests, and formally resigned from EHC! at the end of August.
Lucy joined EHC! in its infancy, and developed the organization to become an essential anti-hunger policy advocacy resource for the state, and a renowned resource at both the state and national levels.
We thank Lucy for her vision, skill and commitment, and look forward to collaboration with her as an external partner – though she’ll always be part of the EHC! family.
When Lucy announced her resignation from EHC!, the board named Shannon Yearwood as Interim Executive Director. Shannon has been with EHC! for close to seven years, and played a number of roles within the organization, most recently that of Chief Strategy Officer.
We are delighted to announce that Shannon has agreed to be End Hunger Connecticut’s next Executive Director! Shannon brought many strengths with her when she joined EHC!, having done statewide work in Minnesota, and national work with Feeding America, and has during her time at EHC! made major contributions to EHC!’s policy work, and to the operation of the organization. We know that you will enjoy working with Shannon, and that with her at the helm, EHC! will make major contributions in Connecticut and beyond towards protecting and improving policies that impact food security.
