Riverfront Music Revival Festival Kicks Off Summer in Shelton
A Music Festival With a Purpose
Shelton, CT –March 1, 2018. From the directors of Soupstock Music & Arts Festival, Riverfront Music Revival is introduced and will soon be Southern CT’s signature summer event. The annual event will take place over two days on Saturday June 9thand Sunday June 10that Veteran’s Memorial Park in Shelton.
Showcasing an array of performers from local to national, arranging from blues to funk, and reggae to rockin’ bluegrass, there will bea celebration of music on two stages, superb local food trucks, craft brews by New Belgium Brewery and handcrafted drinks by Tito’s Vodka. The Vendor Village will be comprised of over 50 handmade artisans and non-profit organizations, a Rejuvenate & Relaxation Wellness Area which will have a full offering of wellness services and workshops, a Piece of Mind: Poetry & Words performance tent that will include an Open Mic on Saturday and Poetry Slam with Grand Prize on Sunday. Last but not least, a large Family Fun Zone catering to children 12 & under will offer activities all weekend long including a festival-wide Puppet Parade on Sunday at 4pm.
Director Heriot-Mikula says, “This event is rooted in a desire to provide a festival that encompasses many music genres and welcomes all families by creating an affordable ticket price so everyone can experience it while fighting hunger across CT.”
Kids Hour will kick off on Saturday at 11am. Children 12 & Under are Free. Early Bird Tickets are now available through April 1 for $20 per person for the entire weekend.
Partial proceeds will benefit End Hunger Connecticut!, the only statewide anti-hunger nonprofit in CT. End Hunger CT!’s mission is to eliminate hunger in every community in CT.
