As April comes to a close, I’m writing to share the wonderful news that Robin Lamott Sparks has joined End Hunger Connecticut! as our new Executive Director! Robin comes to EHC! with nearly 20 years of experience in policy work at the local, state and national levels, as well as in non-profit management. In addition, May 1st starts the Great Give, a terrific opportunity for you to show your commitment to the great work we continue to do for families in Connecticut.

Given this outstanding news, it is the perfect time to join our celebration by participating in the Great Give, a 36-hour fundraising event happening May 1-2. To learn more and participate, just click here to show your support for EHC!

As Robin enters EHC! just in time for the Great Give, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table, having served as Executive Director of the Coalition for New Britain’s Youth, where she helped them achieve many national awards, including twice being named an All-America City by the National Civic League. She also worked at the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition and was appointed to the CT State Healthcare Innovation Steering Committee by Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman.

Earlier in her career, Robin spent 10 years working in Washington, DC, where she wrote speeches for Director Louis Freeh of the FBI, served as Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s Legislative Assistant for Appropriations, was Cong. Lynn Woolsey’s Legislative Director, and worked Congressional Affairs for NASA. In addition, she also coached Division I volleyball. She still serves on the Board of Directors of WECoach, a national organization promoting opportunities for women in coaching, while coaching youth volleyball with New England Shock.

Robin has a Bachelor’s degree in History from Ball State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Public Citizenship and Public Affairs. She resides in Hamden, CT with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.

On behalf of the EHC! Board of Directors, we are delighted to welcome Robin to EHC!

Yours Truly,
